AI has been the hot topic with all the innovation going on. It’s hard to avoid the new shiny toy that is released every day. I noticed that I was overloaded with tools to try and found myself just dabbling.
The key element for me was to decide who I am and what tools would I need to achieve the dream I have in my mind. It’s as simple as it gets.

I want my vision to grow, and I want to be successful with any project I attempt. ChatGPT is now the assistant boost I never knew I needed.
Who are You?
I began to explore all key elements of what projects were at hand and where I could use help. What are some areas you want to explore and grow. My session went like this:
- What are you working on and what questions do you have?
- What is one goal you want to achieve and explore
- Write all your questions down on a separate text doc

Who Am I?
I love digital marketing and want to find the best ways to promote my website and gain customers. I have a vision of creating a site where passive income can come in as I promote products and services I love. I really think that the purpose of this is to get you to think about how to better focus on what you want and what your dreams are.
This is not a serious activity that needs a complete purpose, this is a start to make sure that you know that there is a way to make this happen for yourself.
Have fun with process and just let the information flow. That is the best part. It’s time to have conversation with ChatGPT and learn from what we really are seeking. Sometimes the answers are found just by asking as many questions as possible.
Time To Ask Questions & Explore
Let’s hop over to ChatGPT and describe who we are and what we are looking for:

My question was: “I am a digital marketing specialist and want to figure out new ways to create a passive income online promoting products by blogging and email newsletters to build my audience. I am stuck and would like some suggestions as to where to begin to build out a plan for my new business. Can you help?”
Just something simple and it doesn’t have to be perfect. The goal here is to see what is on your mind and you will see that your questions will begin to come as you keep practicing.
Here is the output:

As you can see ChatGPT gave a little rundown to my question by providing a detailed outline covering topics of:
- Defining your niche
- Setting up your blog
- Building and email list
- Monetization strategy
- Promotion
- Automation and Scaling
The great part about this is each section was given some key points that you can ask questions about even further. For example, I want to learn more about the Automation and Scaling section that talks about Email Marketing Automation. I can ask ChatGPT to expand on that answer it gave me and phrase a question specific to what I want.
“Can you please expand on point number 6 and give me an outline of 10 things I can do to setup email marketing automation since I am new to it?”
It gave me nice detailed outline just to that point that allows me to learn and see where I need more help. It broke down the email marketing automations into information that I can process in the style I want. The outline helps me but you can do it in different formats.
Create a table, chart or outline are just some examples of how you can have fun with it. I see from this response that you get nice detail for each of these points:
- Choose and email marketing platform
- Create a lead magnet to build your list
- Set up a welcome email sequence
- Segment your audience based on interests
- Create a drip campaign for affiliate products
- Abandoned cart email
- Weekly or monthly newsletter automation
- Birthday or anniversary emails
- Re-engagement campaign
- Analytics & A/B testing

I love to use this approach just to gain clarity on what may need to be researched more or what needs to be done. Sometimes we overlook what kind of direction we can go in. Here is a good way keep focused and learn as you go.
The goal here is not perfection, its direction. It allows you to learn at your own pace and have fun while doing it. There is no such thing as a dumb question so ask as many as you like and let the fun begin.
This article was about just getting started and not being intimidated by it or not discounting its power as well. It is a great study tool and brainstorming powerhouse with your personal twist.
Where to go next:
Just keep asking questions to things you want to learn more information about.
One good tip is to ask ChatGPT to simplify a topic if it is too complicated or serious:
- Ask it to explain it so a 5th grader could understand it
- Can you write out your answer in a positive fun tone
We will discuss more in depth and see how we can generate the best prompts to get the answers we are seeking. Till then, ask away and see what you can come up with. Don’t overthink it, just put your thoughts down and type away.
